Welcome to the Mother Centered Approach, where A Nurtured Postpartum is what Every Mother Deserves.

  • A Nourished Mother

As you navigate this journey of motherhood, remember that you don't have to go it alone. Hiring a postpartum practitioner can provide you with the emotional and physical support you need to heal, bond with your baby, and thrive in your new role. From traditional practices like castor oil, yoni steam, and massage, to lactation snacks, weekly visits, and mama circles, a postpartum practitioner can help you feel grounded, nourished, and supported every step of the way.

Below outlines the 5 Traditional Elements for Healing which Cassandra studied with Rachelle Garcia Seliga during her Innate Postpartum Care training. All Postpartum Packages are offered with this wisdom as a foundation.

  • 5 Healing Elements for Traditional Postpartum Healing

Mama’s care will be centered around the 5 cross cultural healing elements for postpartum well being. When mother is properly cared for, her baby gets optimal bonding and thriving to begin their life journey. The continuation of life begins by caretaking of the mothers. I help support the mother so she can support the primal needs of her baby.

  • REST

A period of rest for the new mother, usually lasting between 30-40 days, during which she is cared for by family, community, and/or a postpartum practitioner. This supports mothers recovery from birth and to bond with her baby during the Sacred Window. Supporting Mama so she can remain in or near her bed the first 2 weeks is necessary for healing and connection with the newborn.

  • WARMTH

Incorporating rituals and practices that create a warm and nurturing environment for the new mother and baby. There are a variety of postpartum warming therapies such as moxibustion, yoni steaming, castor oil packs, and warm oil massage that are incorporated in the care. The goal is to provide a sense of comfort and security during this special time, while also supporting the body's natural healing processes.

  • NOURISHMENT

Providing the new mother with nutrient-dense foods and drinks to support her physical and emotional well-being, healing, and her milk production. The best foods that the community can offer mama are warm, easy to digest, nutrient dense meals, prepared and delivered to mama in bed.

  • BODYWORK

Various physical practices, such as hot stone massage, herbal baths, yoni steaming, castor oil packs, breast massage, Moxa, and more. These are aimed at promoting healing, reducing inflammation, and restoring the body after birth. These practices can be done in bed, near baby, and support mama to feel nourished while keeping close proximity to infant.

  • COMMUNITY

Providing the new mother with emotional support and encouragement during the postpartum period, as well as offering a safe space for her to express any concerns or fears. It also includes connecting the mother with other new mothers and creating a sense of community.
